HBO’s The Last Of Us has released a clip of Pedro Pascal’s Joel and his family trying to escape the initial outbreak! This clip is taken from one of the first scenes of the critically-acclaimed PlayStation 3 game. The Last Of Us is a zombie horror/action game developed by Naughty Dog Studios. Last year it was released that HBO Max had teamed up with lead developer Neil Druckmann to make a TV adaptation of the former Game Of The Year award winner.
In the released clip, we can see Joel Miller (Pedro Pascal) fleeing his home in Austin Texas with his daughter Sarah (Nico Parker). Alongside them is Joel’s brother Tommy (Gabriel Luna). This was a very important scene in the game as it sets up the post-apocalyptic feel and the feeling of utter terror being in a collapsing society.
Important Moments In The Last Of Us!
With that specific part of the game having plates on the edge of their seats, it seems that HBO’s The Last Of Us nailed the chaotic feeling. You can watch the clip as linked here via The Last Of Us News on Twitter. Seeing HBO talking dialog directly from the game is a great sign of how this show will honor what has come before. HBO’s The Last Of Us has gotten amazing reviews from the likes of IGN which gave it a 9/10 and Rotten Tomatoes which currently has it at 100%.
HBO’s The Last Of Us will follow the events of the first game. This means we will get to experience the growth of Ellie and Joel’s relationship once again. Bella Ramsey, who will be playing Ellie has done an amazing job at recreating the silliness we see Ellie have in the first game.
HBO’s Great Casting!
She also portrays the more serious moments in the story very well. Ramsey had spent some time on HBO’s Game Of Thrones when she was just 11. The dark and serious feel of Game Of Thrones seems to have helped her with being the best Ellie she can be.
HBO’s The Last Of Us is set to air on January 15th. It will be taking the time slot that was recently held by House Of The Dragon. The Hype for this show could not be any higher, especially now that we got to see a little clip of an important moment. Fans around the globe are set for HBO’s The Last Of Us to finally air as there are only a few more days to go!
