How I Met Your Father Season 2 is right around the corner. It seems like it’s been forever since the first season aired on Hulu. Now, fans know more about what’s to come in the show’s sophomore season, which includes a release date.
Fans will get to see Hilary Duff return as Sophie along with her hilarious co-stars for How I Met Your Father Season 2 in early 2023. This week, it was revealed that the show will be back on Hulu on January 24, 2023 (via Screen Rant). The debut of the second season comes nearly one year to the day after the show’s Season 1 premiere.
The How I Met Your Mother spin-off was officially renewed for Season 2 in February 2022, just one month after it began streaming. Fans began to fall in love with the new cast of characters. They were surprised to see that old familiar faces such as Colbie Smulders’ Robin also made a cameo.
How I Met Your Father Season 2 will bring back the core cast
The core cast will be returning, including Chris Lowell as Jesse, Tien Tran and Ella, and Suraj Sharma as Sid. Josh Peck as Drew, Tom Ainsley will return as Charlie, and Francia Raisa as Valentina, per People Magazine. Meanwhile, actor Michael Cimino will also join the How I Met Your Father cast for Season 2. Some fans may recognize him from “Love, Victor.”
During Season 1, fans got to know that character through 10 episodes. However, Season 2 of How I Met Your Father has been supersized. This time around, fans will get to enjoy 20 episodes as the story of Sophie plays out.
Not much is known about the upcoming season, and a trailer has yet to be released. Some images have been revealed. Fans are now dying to know what will happen with the characters. During the Season 1 finale, it looked like Sophie and Jesse were going to finally get together. However, as many fans of the franchise know, things can change quickly.
How I Met Your Father will be back in January 2023
There is a lot of possibility for these characters. Viewers have no idea what direction the show will take. However, it’s fun to speculate about the twists and turns their lives will go through before fans finally find out who Sophie ends up with.
