How I Met Your Father Season 2 spoilers could see the return of Ted Mosby. The show hooked fans with a new generation of pals to follow. The gang may not hang out at the same NYC bar, but they are diverse and interesting. The cast, which includes main character Hilary Duff, gave fans plenty to laugh about during the first season of the Hulu series.
During the first season of the show, there were a couple of callbacks to the original series. Cobie Smulders who played Robin on How I Met Your Mother even appeared in one episode. While there are new stories to tell, fans can’t help but wonder if more cameos are in store. Will we ever see what Marshall and Lily have been up to, or possibly Barney’s present-day life? Of course, everyone would like to see HIMYM’s Ted Mosby as well.
How I Met Your Father Season 2 spoilers hint at Ted Mosby cameo
Recently, actor Josh Radnor opened up about the possibility of reprising his famous role during How I Met Your Father Season 2. During an interview with Newsweek, Radnor revealed that he would consider making an appearance on the show.
“I had a really sweet email exchange with Hilary Duff,” Radnor revealed. “We kind of went back and forth about being the ‘I’ on How I Met Your dot dot dot. [Hilary] has said publicly, she’d love to have me on, so I wouldn’t turn down an invitation,” he added.
Duff’s character, Sophie, is the focus of How I Met Your Father. She’s a NYC artist who is looking for love and telling her future child about how she met their father. While Bob Saget narrated How I Met Your Mother as the older version of Ted, Sex and The City star Kim Cattrall plays the older Sophie.
Will other former How I Met Your Mother characters return?
Meanwhile, Movie Web notes that fans would also like to see other How I Met Your Mother characters in How I Met Your Father Season 2. Characters like Barney’s brother James, played by Wayne Brady. Perhaps Ashley Williams’ Victoria could return to offer some advice about messy relationships. Jennifer Morrison could also pop up as the interesting activist Zoe, another of Ted’s former girlfriends.
Of course, the show doesn’t want to rely on too many cameos. It’s a different story and new characters that are meant to drive the plotline. However, fans aren’t likely to forget the original series and those beloved characters, as they’ll always want to see more of the McClaren’s gang.
