The “Days of Our Lives” cast has been an ever-revolving door. Characters are shuffled in and out of Salem like clockwork, and sometimes it can leave fans’ heads spinning. However, viewers usually love when old favorites return, even if their stint is brief. Cue, Alison Sweeney and her iconic character, Sami Brady.
Will Sami Brady return to Days of Our Lives?
Recently, there has been buzz online that “Days of Our Lives” could be gearing up to bring Sami Brady back to Salem in the near future. It seems like a good time for Sami to return to the fold. Viewers have been seeing more of Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo), who is currently in prison for kidnapping Sami. In addition, Nicole Walker’s (Ariana Zucker) relationship with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) seems to be dissolving.
It seems only fitting that Sami be there as Nicole and Eric’s baby drama unfolds. After all, Nicole switched Sami and EJ’s daughter, Sidney, several years ago. Nicole even kidnapped the little girl before she was reunited with her biological mother. Of course, Sami may want to continue to remind her twin brother Eric what a mistake his love for Nicole is.
Some “Days of Our Lives” speculation claims that the soap could show Nicole some major karma by having her daughter Holly Jonas bond with Sami Brady. Holly finding a confidant in Sami would be sweet revenge as Nicole was one of Allie Horton’s biggest supporters when she came to Salem.
Alison Sweeney is busy with Hallmark projects
While nothing has been confirmed, fans would love to see Sweeney back in Salem as Sami. However, the actress has admitted that she’ll never come back to the soap opera full-time. Thankfully, she has continued to come back for several stints since her departure.
Meanwhile, Sweeney continues to be very busy working with the Hallmark Channel. She recently signed a new multi-picture deal with the Gold Crown Network to continue her work there. Fans love the star’s Hallmark work, especially her Christmas content. So, even if Sami isn’t in Salem for the holidays, she’ll still be all over the TV screen.
Sami has unfinished business in Salem
Recently, Alison Sweeney celebrated the 58th anniversary of “Days of Our Lives” with a sweet snap of herself with EP Ken Corday. It’s apparent that the actress still has a lot of love for the show and the character of Sami.
Of course, Sami Brady has some unfinished business in Salem. She’s got her long-standing beef with Nicole and messy relationships with EJ and Lucas. Her relationships with her children are also linked to Salem, so it seems that she may be back at some point. We just don’t know what that will be.
