The Masked Singer currently has fans on the edge of their seats trying to figure out which famous faces are behind the elaborate costumes. So, viewers will be disappointed to know that the show won’t be airing on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 due to the World Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and the L.A. Dodgers.
The Masked Singer is not on tonight, October 21
The show will (hopefully) be back next week at it’s regular scheduled time. However, there may be one more week delay if the World Series happens to go to seven games. In that case, Game 7 would be held next Wednesday, pushing The Masked Singer back one more week. Fans may remember that this happened last year when the Astros and Nationals series went to Game 7, preempting the reality singing series two weeks in a row. So, lets hope that the Rays and Dodgers can get their series wrapped up in six games or less.
When the show does return, fans will be in for a treat. We’ve already seen Group A and Group B perform twice, which celebrities such as Busta Rhymes, Mickey Rourke, Brian Austin Green, and Mark Sanchez being eliminated thus far. But, in the upcoming episode, viewers will meet Group C.
Group C will take the stage in the next episode
Group C will consist of a new batch of stars wearing costumes that include a Jellyfish, Broccoli, Squiggly Monster, Lips, and Mushroom. We’ve been waiting anxiously to see this group and be able to compare them to front runners from the other groups such as The Sun, who is rumored to be Leann Rimes, or the Seahorse, who is thought to be singer Tori Kelly.
Viewers got a peek at the costumes during a pre-season look into what’s to come, and they are some of the most elaborate masks that we have seen yet. Hopefully, the stars underneath are just as exciting as their costumes.
In the past, The Masked Singer has captivated fans. Previous winners include T-Pain, Wayne Brady, and Kandi Burruss. Each week, viewers try to put the clues together in hopes of guessing which famous person could be singing underneath all of the colorful material.
The show returns following The 2020 World Series
The judges, which include Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, and Robin Thicke, try their best to put together the clues with the voices each week, and many times they have been right in their predictions.
The Masked Singer will return to Fox on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. following the conclusion of The 2020 World Series.
