‘IT’ remake reveals another new look at Pennywise the clown.
The “IT” remake is officially happening, and rolling right along. While fans have already gotten an up close and personal first look at the brand new Pennywise, played by Bill Skarsgard, earlier this year, a brand new sneak peek photo from the movie has been revealed, and and it’s terrifying.
According to Entertainment Weekly, this Pennywise is a bit different from the original, played by Tim Curry, in the made for TV version of Stephen King’s haunting thriller. Director Andres Muschietti says that Pennywise is front and center, and doesn’t lurk in the shadows, although the creepy clown seems to be doing some hardcore lurking in the new sneak peek photo, which features the monster peeking his head out of a large drain pipe.

Will fans like the remake as much as the original?
“Pennywise shows up, he’s front and center, and he does his show. He has an act,” Muschietti says. “So it’s weird all the time, and every little thing implies a further threat.” Watch out for his punchlines. They’ll knock you dead.
For readers who don’t know, the original “IT” movie was adapted from Stephen King’s novel of the same name, and followed a group of kids who fought against Pennywise the clown, a shape shifting, child eating, monster, and are forced to do so again as adults. The movie became a cult classic, and helped fuel society’s fear of clowns. The original movie starred Tim Curry, Jonathan Brandis, Annette O’Toole, Seth Green, Richard Thomas, John Ritter, Harry Anderson, and more familiar faces.
Fans are highly anticipating the “IT” remake, which is scheduled to hit theaters on Sept. 8, 2017. What are your thoughts on the new Pennywise photo? Share this post and leave a comment below.
