The drama continues to soar around James Harden and Russell Westbrook. Both men reportedly want out of the Houston Rockets franchise. The two men, who were both drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder, are said to be looking to switch teams quickly, before the 2020-2021 NBA season begins in December.
Both Harden and Westbrook have allegedly asked for trades to different teams, but why? NBA insider Ric Bucher is making some big claims that include President Donald Trump. Bucher says that both basketball players have had it with the Houston organization, and one of the biggest reasons why include the owner Tilman Fertitta’s support of the Republican part and Trump. His support has reportedly created a bit rift through the team.

There are now some very serious rumors that Harden is pushing to be traded to the Brooklyn Nets, where he would be able to team up with another ex-Thunder MVP, Kevin Durant, as well as NBA champ Kyrie Irving.

Both Durant and Irving suffered from injuries last season. The situation had Nets fans forced to wait to see what the two all-stars could produce together. Now, they may be getting an even bigger treat if Harden joins them and creates a Big 3 super-team. The possibility would give Eastern powerhouses such as the Milwaukee Bucks, Toronto Rapters, and Miami Heat a serious run for their money.
It’s likely that the three men would hope to run quickly through the Eastern Conference. The East is regarded as the weaker of the two conferences. Meanwhile, some fans are already calling a Nets vs. Lakers 2021 NBA Finals if the trades end up going through.
Sadly, Rockets fans may be left to rebuild after losing their all-stars and failing to bring a championship to the city.
