Jamie Lynn Spears and her family revealed some amazing news on Tuesday. Jamie’s daughter, Maddie, 8, is awake and talking after a life threatening ATV accident nearly drowned her. Fans have been sending good thoughts and prayers for Maddie and the Spears family all week, and it seems that she’s now recovering.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Jamie Lynn Spears’ eight-year-old daughter, Maddie, was driving an ATV when she drove the vehicle into the family’s pond on accident. The safety belt prohibited the adults supervising the girl from getting her out of the water immediately, and she was submerged in water until paramedics arrived to help free little Maddie.
“With her father, mother and stepfather by her side, Maddie regained consciousness mid-day Tuesday, February 7,” the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Department told People Magazine. “The 8-year-old daughter of entertainer Jamie Lynn Spears was involved in an ATV accident at a family home Sunday in Kentwood, La. Paramedics resuscitated her and she was airlifted to a local hospital. She is aware of her surroundings and recognizes those family members who have kept a round-the-clock vigil since the accident.”

The Spears Family asks for prayers for little Maddie.
“Doctors were able to remove the ventilator today and she is awake and talking. Maddie continues to receive oxygen and is being monitored closely but it appears that she has not suffered any neurological consequences from the accident.”
Since the accident, the Spears family, including Maddie’s mega famous aunt, Britney Spears, have been asking for prayers for Maddie, hoping that she would pull through the tragic and scary ordeal. Now, good news has fans breathing a sigh of relief, and sending even more well wishes to Jamie Lynn Spears and her daughter.
