Janet Jackson is going to be a mom. The singer is reportedly pregnant with her first child just two weeks shy of her 50th birthday.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Janet Jackson and her billionaire husband, Wissam Al Mana, are preparing to become parents, which is the reason Janet had to postpone her tour.
“We’re in the second leg of the tour and there actually has been a sudden change,” Jackson explained in a video posted to her social media on April 6. “I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour.”
Janet Jackson is seemingly taking her pregnancy seriously, and following strict doctor orders to rest.

“Please, if you could try and understand that it’s important that I do this now,” Jackson asked of her fans. “I have to rest up, doctor’s orders. But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can.”
Back in 2008 when Janet Jackson was dating Jermaine Dupri, the singer was asked if she would consider having children. Janet said, “I would love to have children of our own, but we also would love to adopt,” she said. “So, we’ll see what happens. It’ll happen someday.”
Fans are thrilled for Janet, and wish her all the best as she embarks on her motherhood journey, and are now wondering if she’ll eventually have more children to add to her family.
