Jason Aldean is engaged. The country music singer and his former mistress, turned girlfriend, Brittany Kerr are set to tie the knot.

“Jason and Brittany are in California where they originally met,” a source close to the family told Radar Online. “He proposed to her, and she said yes, and he has told his family.”
However, Jason Aldean didn’t tell his family that he was planning to pop the question until after he’d already gotten engaged to Brittany Kerr. “They had no idea he was proposing,” the source added.
Jason Aldean and Brittany Kerr, a former “American Idol” contestant, met a couple of years ago, where the country star cheated on his then wife with Kerr. Photos of the incident made their way around the web, and Jason apologized for his indiscretion.

Later, Jason Aldean’s wife filed for divorce, and he began a relationship with Brittany Kerr, a relationship which Brittany’s family approves of.
“He’s so down to earth. I approve of it,” Kerr’s grandmother said. “I hope everything works out.”
