Jason London, the actor, best known for his role in the hit film as Randall’ Pink’ Floyd’ in the popular film “Dazed and Confused,” has been arrested for public intoxication in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
On Wednesday, London was taken into custody after police found the actor’s 2010 Nissan Maxima stuck in a ditch. According to The Blast, officers arriving on the scene helped to pull the actor from the vehicle.
Officers immediately detected alcohol on London’s breath. Upon exiting the vehicle, Jason was off balance and noticeably slurring his words. Not only was London unable to pass a sobriety test, but his vehicle was also on fire.
JCPD police reports reveal that during the investigation of the accident, they believe that London lost control of the auto, swerved off the road, and ran over a street sign.
Jason London In Trouble With The Law Again
It also appears that he regained control for a few seconds before hitting a concrete object before hitting the ditch. Reports allege that there was a passenger in the car at the time of the accident. Luckily both London and his passenger were able to walk away without injury.
When they arrived at the scene, London’s passenger, Jackson County Sheriff’s Department states, stood outside the car. The car sustained heavy damage.
London told officers that someone had sideswiped them, running them into the ditch, and drove away. the arresting officers did not buy London’s story and arrested him for public intoxication and leaving the scene of an accident.
A History Of Alcohol Abuse And Arrests
Many ask why Jason London is only being facing public intoxication charges instead of a DUI?. A JCPD spokesperson states that at the time of an arrest, it is the officer’s discretion to charge for DUI, and in this case, officers could not place London behind the wheel driving.
However, officers decided to arrest a very intoxicated London on numerous other charges, including public intoxication.
Sadly this is not the first arrest for Jason London. In 2013 the actor was arrested in Arizona for disorderly conduct and assault following a bar fight in Scottsdale.
When police arrived on the scene, they found the actor with a swollen eye. Speaking to the bar’s bouncer, he tells them London was outside of the bar and walking by him when he began sneezing on him. The bouncer asked Jason for an apology, and London took a swing at him, punching him in the face.
After arriving, officers say they witnessed Jason nursing a swollen eye. Cops spoke to a bouncer at the bar who told him Jason had been inside of the club, walked by him, and sneezed on him. The bouncer asked for an apology, and Jason allegedly punched him in the face.
During his arrest, London became verbally aggressive, dropping numerous homophobic slurs at the officers. Following his verbal attack on the officers, Jason London attempts to pull the celebrity card. Becoming even more irate he reportedly follows up his rant by defecating his pants inside the police car.
When they got him to jail in Jackson County, cops say Jason London was so drunk that they couldn’t fingerprint him out of it.
