Ever since The Boys premiered on Amazon Prime Video showrunner Eric Kripke has been very open about wanting his close friend Jeffrey Dean Morgan to join the show. Kripke wants Morgan to join the show as it would reunite the old friends and some Supernatural veterans in Jenson Ackles who Played Dean Winchester and Jeffrey Dean Morgan who played John Winchester.
Luckily for Eric Kripke, the feeling was mutual but Morgan’s other shows like The Walking Dead and the pandemic also got in the way. Morgan could never find the time to reunite with Eric and join The Boys until now that is.
The stars have finally aligned and Jeffrey Dean Morgan has signed on the dotted line to join The Boys in the upcoming Season 4. How big of a role he will play or what kind of character he will play is being kept under wraps as of right now but hopefully, we will find out soon.
What kind of role will Morgan have?
Knowing how close Morgan and Kripke are, it would be safe to say that Morgan could either have a very in-depth role or a scene-stealing guest spot. Production is now underway for Season 4 of The Boys as the social media posts from the cast have let us know. It may not be too long until we see what kind of role Morgan will be playing from some low-quality set pictures taken from a far distance.
Morgan is a fan of The Boys as it was created by a close friend of his who also worked with him as they ascended up the Hollywood ladder. There was always this sense of inevitability that Morgan would at some point in some way be part of The Boys. Especially with his old Television son Jason Ackles playing the Superhero Soldier Boy.
It will be very interesting to see what kind of role Jeffrey Dean Morgan will have in The Boys. Will he be some kind of Supe? Or maybe he will work for the United States Government. It is even possible that he will join Butcher and his crew.
Fan anticipation in high
There are a lot of possibilities for Morgan’s character and fans can not wait to find out what he will be doing. As of right now, it is still a mystery so we will all have to wait and see as only time will tell what kind of role Morgan will have in Season 4 of The Boys.
