Teen Mom alum Jenelle Evans is getting a lot of heat from her fans over the details of her son Jace Evans’ recent disappearance. The former MTV personality took to Instagram to tell everyone exactly how she felt about their questions.
Teen Mom: Jenelle Evans Blasts Nosy Fans
Jenelle Evans of Teen Mom reported her teenage son, Jace Evans, missing on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. Jenelle began to worry after Jace went missing after school. She was unable to locate him. So she reached out to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Department to report her son as a runaway.
Jace Evans was located a few hours later and returned home with Jenelle. She spoke with TMZ, who first reported Jace’s disappearance, telling them it all started after Jace got into trouble at school. She did not go into detail regarding the type of trouble but said it was enough that they decided to punish the 14-year-old teen.
The former reality star says she took away her son’s cell phone because of his actions. Because he felt unjustly punished, he chose to take off after school without permission or telling anyone his whereabouts.
Of course, this sent Jenelle into a panic, so she called the police, and Jace was located a few hours later, safe and sound. Now, Jenelle claims all sorts of made-up and untrue rumors are circulating regarding the incident. So she took to Instagram to blast the nosy fans and storytellers.
Fans Think Jenelle Is Hiding Something
Jenelle Evans says all the stories circulating over Jace’s incident are false. She denies reports of Jace hiding in the trees behind his school and others claiming that the app Snapchat played a huge role in locating her son.
Following Jace Evans’ safe return, Jenelle issued a statement to TMZ saying, “As a boy mom, kids can act up and rebel, as I’m sure the majority of us all did as kids too. Jace is a good kid, and we’re not dealing with anything that most families don’t deal with while raising children. This has absolutely nothing to do with my situation with David. We do not argue in front of our children or fight in front of our kids. This is a teenage boy being a teenager mad that we decided to take away his phone.”
Some Teen Mom followers familiar with Jenelle Evans’ public history found her explanation suspicious. They thought it was odd that Jenelle felt the need to clarify that Jace’s ordeal has nothing to do with her recent public marital problems with her husband, David Eason.
Jenelle is angry over all of the nasty comments and accusations. So once again, she jumped on social media. But this time it was to clap back at her online haters.

Jenelle Evans says she is used to receiving online hate. She says ever since she was on the MTV Teen Mom reality series, some people have always wanted to judge her every move harshly, especially regarding how she parents her children or her relationship with David Eason.
