Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin Split

People Magazine reports that Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin began dating in August and were seen together a handful of times on airplanes and behind the scenes at Coldplay concerts.

A source says the pair were together as recently as Oct. 21, following Chris Martin’s “friendly” dinner with ex Gwyneth Paltrow.

Hollywood Life reveals that Jennifer Lawrence couldn’t compete with Gwyneth Paltrow, as she is still Chris Martin’s wife and the mother of this two children, Apple and Moses.

Gwyneth Paltrow to Blame for JLaw’s Break Up?

“Jennifer just couldn’t compete and didn’t want to. Chris is clearly not over Gwyneth and his main priority is his kids. Jennifer really respects him, but she wants a man of her own. And Chris has been spending lots of time with Gwyneth and their kids lately. It was just a bit too much for Jen. She doesn’t want to be second to anyone. You can’t blame her,” a source told the website.

This comes after reports that Gwyneth Paltrow refused to let Chris Martin introduce their children to Jennifer Lawrence.

“Gwyneth still has a lot of control over him, which isn’t exactly desirable to prospective girlfriends,” the source added. “The way things are at the moment, no sane person would want to be an accessory to their conscience uncoupling.”
