Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s divorce is pushing forward. JLo filed to end the marriage in August. However, both she and Affleck had stayed quiet on their split. That is, until now. Lopez recently opened up about her divorce during a new interview, and she didn’t hold back when it came to sharing her feelings about the end of her two year marriage to the Batman actor.

During a sit-down with Interview Magazine, Jennifer Lopez got candid about her split. Although she didn’t mention Ben Affleck by name, she did speak on her divorce.

Jennifer Lopez Dishes on Ben Affleck Divorce

“I did all the work and look at where I am, and then it was like my whole f—ing world exploded,” she said. “You have to be complete, if you want something that’s more complete. You have to be good on your own. I thought I learned that, but I didn’t. And then, this summer, I had to be like, ‘I need to go off and be on my own. I want to prove to myself that I can do that,’” Lopez continued, adding that “it feels lonely, unfamiliar, scary. It feels sad. It feels desperate.”

JLo also talked about looking for happiness in others. However, she knows that she can no longer do that. After four divorces and several other failed engagements and relationships, the singer is learning to love herself before looking to others to do it for her.
