Legendary entertainer Jerry Vale dies
Jerry Vale the popular 50 crooner best known for his hit song “Volare” has died at the age of 83.
Jerry Vale died on Sunday in his home in Palm Desert. His death was confirmed by his family attorney Harold J. Levy.
Levy also revealed that the singer had been in declining health, but passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends.
Jerry Vale, who’s real name is Genaro Louis Vitaliano began performing as a young teenager in New York supper clubs.

His career achievement reveal he recorded more than 50 albums.
Vale’s renditions of “Volare,” ”Innamorata” and “Al Di La” became classic Italian-American songs. His biggest hit was “You Don’t Know Me.”
The singer also made his way to appear as himself in hit films and on television in mob story greats such as “Goodfellas.” “Casino,” and the HBO made for cable hit “The Sopranos.”
Jerry Vale is survived by Rita, his wife of 55 years; a son, Robert; and a daughter, Pamela.
