Jessica Simpson, 38, and her husband, Eric Johnson, made a huge announcement on Tuesday. The couple revealed that Jessica was pregnant with their third child, a baby girl.
According to a Sept. 18 report by Us Weekly Magazine, Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson are preparing to welcome another little bundle of joy into their family to join big sister Maxwell, 6, and big brother, Ace, 5.
Simpson announced the pregnancy via her Instagram account by posting two photos of her children holding balloons. In the first snapshot, Maxwell and Ace are holding black balloons. “SURPRISE,” the caption reads.
In the second photo, the kids are seen as pink balloons fly behind them. “This baby girl will make us a family of five. We couldn’t be happier to announce this precious blessing of life,” Simpson captioned the picture.
Earlier this year, Jessica Simpson opened up about her motherhood journey, and what her children have taught her.
“Being a mother is the best opportunity and challenge I’ve ever been blessed with in life. Right now my kids are in this amazing stage where I’m really listening to them without judgment and they’re teaching me so much. These little innocent kids teach me so much about life,” she stated back in May.
Jessica, who was previously married to Nick Lachey, also revealed that her husband, Eric, is the more strict parent in their household. “If my daughter asks for a dog, she gets one, and then Eric finds a way to make the dog not end up in the house,” she admitted.
Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson have not yet revealed a due date for their new little addition, nor have fans seen the singer/fashion designer’s baby bump just yet. However, now that the news is out, it seems that it is only a matter of time.
