John Mellencamp and Meg Ryan have reportedly called it quits once again following a huge blowup according to Radar Online reports.
John Mellencamp, 68, and Meg Ryan, 57, have been engaging in an on-again-off-again relationship since 2011. The couple’s first split took place in 2014. The two went their separate ways for three years before reconciling in 2017.
Things appeared to have been going great and wedding plans were in the works. However, following a major blowup the two have decided to go their separate ways once again.
According to Radar John and Meg have not been seen together in public for close to three months. A source close to the “Jack and Diane” hitmaker has allegedly revealed the details behind the famous couple’s recent breakup.
“They had a massive blowup, with both of them screaming at each other about all the issues that have kept them from marrying all these years! So Meg just told John to hit the highway!”
“They never stopped loving each other, but their problems didn’t go away when they got back together,” the source said.
Meg and John just could not agree with each other’s choices of lifestyles. This has always been the biggest problem between the two. Meg prefers the hustle and bustle and bright lights of New York, while John loves small city life.
John would take any opportunity to head out of NYC and head to his hometown in Seymour, Indiana often disappearing without telling Meg.
The informant also claims that John couldn’t handle Meg always trying to change who he was.
“She didn’t like John’s clothes, which were too worn and shabby for her taste,” the insider said, noting, “Meg bought him a whole new wardrobe, but he kept on wearing the same old jeans! John hated being told what to do and how to look.”
They also reveal that John was not a fan of Meg’s obsession with her looks and hated all the changes Meg kept making to her face and body with plastic surgery. At this time John Mellencamp’s reps are denying the split rumors and Meg Ryan’s reps are refusing comment.
The source claims that Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp’s pals fear that their breakup this time maybe for good this time because it appears that they are both so set in their ways that neither is willing to make the lifestyle changes needed to please the other.
