With the release of Star Wars: The Book Of Boba Fett approaching quickly the show’s plot has been kept under wraps, for the most part, other than a few basic things. So far there has only been a very mysterious trailer, a few interviews, and some of the crew teasing the fans about the show.
Where the series will lead off is after Boba Fett goes to Tattooine and storms Jabbas’ palace. Of course, Jabba has been dead for a lo time and one of his closest associates has taken his throne. Boba then proceeds to kill everyone in charge and take the throne for himself along with Fennec Shand.
Recently Jon Favreau, one of the show’s writers shed some light on the mystery that is The Book Of Boba Fett and how it will affect a galaxy far far away. “There is a power vacuum,” Favreau explained because Jabba is gone. Jabba was clearly a very strong and imposing leader, who people were very scared of, and who seemed to rule with an iron fist. You pull somebody like that out of the ecosystem of Tatooine — and Hutt Space in general — and you have the opportunity that’s ripe in the gangster genre,” Jon said, per ComicBook.com.
“Although Boba Fett is a very experienced bounty hunter, he’s not experienced at running a criminal syndicate or managing forces,” Favreau continued “He’s not normally a newcomer. He’s an expert as we see him in most areas. But in this case, he’s trying to transition to another position.”
Just about 40 years ago fans saw what we all thought was the death of Boba Fett in The Return Of The Jedi after he fell into the Sarlacc pit while fighting Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. Now we have seen his deadliness on full display with him returning in The Mandalorian Season 2 and fans can not get enough of it.
It will be very interesting to see where this series goes and if there will be any other important Star Wars characters in it. It is very possible that we might get to see Han Solo or someone like that even if it is only a cameo. The wait is almost over and in about a month we will all be enjoying the amazing storytelling of Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. This year on December 29th Boba Fett will return and his true story will begin in The Book Of Boba Fett.
