After Kemjaku’s attacks dealt no damage to the comedian, surely this will be a tough fight for the man with the stitches. Well, maybe it won’t be. It seems we may already have a winner in this brawl. 240 starts with a quick flash-back of Jujutsu High’s sorcerers planning on how to deal with Kenjaku before Satoru Gojo vs Ryomen Sukuna ends. Their plan is to launch a surprise attack against Kenjaku since he is such a strong adversary. Kusakabe thinks that Maki would be able to handle it, but Angle suggests sending Takaba so as to not split the group.
The fight is very comical as Takaba even makes Kenjaku wear an American flag bandanna with his technique. Kenjaku is at a loss, he knows that even his 1,000 years of experience won’t help him against such an unusual technique. According to Dexerto.

This is where the battle takes a strange turn. Kenjaku begins to explain why Takaba’s jokes aren’t funny as the comedian sorcerer begins to lose confidence. Takaba quickly locks in as he brings Kenjaku into a “you laugh you lose” challenge. Takaba makes a funny face, and then Kenjaku quickly counters with his own funny face. This makes Takaba burst out with laughter as Kenjaku hits him with multiple blows.
Takaba begins to freak out as he thinks that Kenjaku may be funnier than him. He tries to give himself hope but then sees the dead body of Hazenoki. Kenjaku then asks why he isn’t laughing with him being a comedian and all. That unfortunately is where the chapter ends. It seems as if Takaba is about to meet his end.

This is a far cry from say, Chapter 236 where Gojo met his end, but hopefully, we can get back to the main fight next week. Sukuna and Yuji are about to face off once again, but Itadori seems to have a new trick up his sleeve. As we all wait for Chapter 241 so many questions are left unanswered. Will Gojo come back?
