That chapter starts off with a flashback of Takaba in his college days. We see him yelling at a friend for arriving late to their rehearsal. The friend also has yet to memorize his lines, and it’s clear he has not practiced at all. Takaba and his friend then get into a screaming match with one another after they both refuse to apologize. Takaba then gets even more frustrated because they are having a hard time coming up with new jokes.
Takaba then punches his friend who quickly excuses the soon-to-be sorcerer for being jealous, due to the friend being popular with women. The friend then says that he does not enjoy doing comedy with Takaba. He asks him how will an audience laugh at his jokes when he doesn’t even laugh at them. According to JJK_Mya via Twitter.

We then jump ahead to Takaba reading comments on his show. One specific comment is telling him to harm himself. Takaba’s colleague then tries to make him feel better by saying nobody can make everyone laugh. The scene switches again as we see Takaba laying in his bed wishing he could be a regular member for skits on a TV show.
The sorcerer then recalls his childhood. It was a lonely one and he would try to get everyone to laugh at him. He just wanted to make friends and find a partner for himself. Takaba’s resolve was that if people knew more about him they would think he is even more funny. Then he wouldn’t feel so lonely anymore.

Switching back to real-time, Kenjaku is about to finish off Takaba but he stops in his tracks when he realizes that Takaba is bowing to him. By this time Kenjaku has realized that Takaba’s cursed technique is back in play! The comedian then screams that he will make every person laugh! He refuses to be satisfied with 99 out of 100 people laughing. Takaba is taking a page out of Satoru Gojo’s book and is having a small awakening.
Unfortunately, we will be getting a break next week, so that means no JJK leaks. With so many questions still flying around the fandom will the next chapter give us some answers?
