Jujutsu Kaisen: Who Is Noritoshi Kamo?

In the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, there are many dark and mysterious corners of history. One being the story of Noritoshi Kamo. Kamo was an ancient sorcerer who defied norms in ways that were less than pleasant. From experimenting on humans to creating the Death Womb Paintings, who exactly was Noritoshi Kamo? Jujutsu’s History

Noritoshi Kamo is a name known throughout the world of Jujutsu as the most evil sorcerer to ever live. According to Gamerant.com, Kamo lived 150 years before the events of Jujutsu Kaisen. With that being said a lot of his life is unknown as well as what Cursed Technique he possessed. It would be a safe bet that he did in fact inherit the Kamo family’s CT of Blood Manipulation. 

So far the only images of Noritoshi have depicted him as a middle-aged man with slick dark slicked back hair, a mustache, and a stitch mark scar on his forehead. The scar is the most important of his features as it shows that he was in fact one of the many vessels for the evil curse user Kenjaku. Kenjaku is the same curse user who is currently inhabiting Suguru Geto’s body. It is heavily implied that Kamo’s actions as the most evil sorcerer in history were all carried out by Kenjkau as he controlled Kamo’s body. 

Cursed Womb: Death Paintings

The most important action of Noritoshi’s legacy was the creation of the Cursed Womb: Death Paintings. Kamo was able to get his hands on a woman who was able to give birth to human-spirit hybrids, and finding a way to continue his experiments Kamo jumped at the opportunity. 

The woman fell pregnant nine times and was made to terminate each one. In turn, this yielded the Cursed Womb: Death Paintings. According to one of the Death Paintings named Choso, he and his brothers were created by mixing the blood of a human and a cursed spirit. Noritoshi mixed his own blood. That is confirmed by Choso being able to use Blood Manipulation. 

Kenjaku is an evil curse user. He left a stain on the Kamo family by using Noritishi’s body to do truly horrible things. Even in the current story of JJK Kenjkau is running rampant. After using the body of Special-grade sorcerer Suguru Geto to trick and seal Satoru Gojo his plan is still in action. Kenjaku being in league with Ryomen Sukuna is also a huge problem for the Jujutsu world. Noritoshi Kamo is just one of many faces and names Kenjaku has worn, and Suguru Geto may not be the last.
