Who Is Sukuna?
To lay it all out there, Ryomen Sukuna is the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer to have lived in his era. Sukuna lived during the Heian Era of Japan, also known as the golden age of Jujutsu Sorcery according to Butwhytho.net. This means that Ryomen Sukuna was around 1,000 years old when the events of Jujutsu Kiasen Season 1 started.
Sukuna stands out from the other villains in this series due to the fact he only acts in his own selfish interests. We see Mahito’s group band together to bring on the age of curses, but Sukuna has his own plans, his own objectives, and his obstacles. One of those obstacles being Satoru Gojo. The strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer of the modern age, Gojo poses a direct threat to Sukuna.
Unfortunately for Sukuna, his existence depends on being in a vessel. Sukuna’s perfect vessel is Yuji Itadori. This is where we see Sukuna’s cunningness as he takes over Yuji’s body in order to rip his heart out. Sukuna can live without a heart, but Itadori can not. This allows Sukuna to force Yuji into a binding vow that lets him take over his body whenever he wants for one minute.
In that time Sukuna can not kill or injure anyone, but Yuji will not remember he made that pact. All of this allows Sukuna to eventually force-feed Megumi Fushiguro a finger to take over his body. Sukuna then Uses Megumi’s 10 Shadows technique to defeat Satoru Gojo in JJk Chapter 236.

The King Of Curses
In his time Sukuna was the icon of strength. Every sorcerer in his era tried to kill him and take the title of King Of Curses, and every sorcerer failed. Now it is time for Yuji to try and take on Sukuna himself. After the death of Gojo Yuji has jumped in to try and defeat Sukuna and save Megumi. How will Itadori stack up against the King? Only time will tell as we are currently on a one-week break from the manga. Hopefully, we can get some answers and see this fight very soon!
