Kanye West took to social media this week and completely shocked fans. While this is nothing new for the rapper, he did reveal some gut-wrenching information that included him having an inappropriate relationship with his male cousin as a child. Out of all the bombshells that Ye has ever revealed, this one has been one of the most jaw-dropping.
On Monday, Kanye West took to his X account to share a new clip of his song titled “Cousins.” The rapper, who was formerly married to Kim Kardashian, then gave fans a backstory about the tune, which left them in utter shock.
“This song is called COUSINS about my cousin that’s locked in jail for life for killing a pregnant lady a few years after I told him we wouldn’t ‘look at dirty magazines together,'” Kanye tweeted. “Perhaps in my self centered mess I felt it was my fault that I showed him those dirty magazines when he was 6 and then we acted out what we saw.”

The rapper then went on to reveal that the magazines were in the closet of his mother, Donda West, whom he says was a lesbian (via Page Six). Kanye went on to share a blatant reveal about his incestuous relationship with his male cousin. He also sang about it in the song.
“Hanging with my cousin reading dirty magazines / We seen some n—as kiss, and we ain’t know what that s–t mean / Then we start reenacting everything that we had seen / That’s when I gave my cousin head,” the lyrics read.
Kanye’s confession also revealed that he told his cousin not to tell anyone about their encounters. However, he eventually realized that the truth would set him free. “I don’t think they understand that I’m not attracted to a man,” the song continues.
Back in 2018, Kanye West seemingly referenced his cousin during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel. “My cousin is locked up for murder, and I love him. He did a bad thing, but I still love him,” he told the late-night host.
Kim Kardashian also touched on the subject of Kanye’s incarcerated coustin in April 2020 while speaking out about prison reform. “Kanye’s aunt, my husband’s aunt, his cousin has a double life sentence for a murder that he committed when he was 17,” she said.

Not surprisingly, there was an outpouring of reactions to Kanye’s post. Many made jokes, begged the rapper to take the tweet down, and more. However, others spoke out in support of the rapper.
