Kate Gosselin’s 18-year-old daughters Mady and Cara could end up with the first Gosselin children spin-off reality series according to Hollywood Life.
Kate Gosselin spoke at the Television Critics Association on Tuesday revealing some of the details of her upcoming new reality dating show, Kate Plus Date. The show will focus on Kate’s dating life, with a twist…Mady and Cara along with professional matchmakers will be advising the mom of 8 on her dating life.
Kate even spoke out about the possibility of a future reality show featuring the twins and their new lives in college. Kate was 100 percent behind the idea, however, claims the decision will be up to the twins.
“I mean that’s absolutely up to them,” Kate said. “I think it’s something that Mady and Cara have discussed potentially. And that’s up to them. I imagine as with anything, some may want to, some may not. And that’s totally fine. It’s up to them. It’s always been up to them.”
Some Gosselin family followers tend to disagree a bit on that one and feel that Kate has never really let the children make any decisions on their own over the years claiming that they don’t believe Kate will start now.
As previously reported, there continues to be a nasty brawl between Kate and former husband Jon Gosselin when it comes to the children. As previously reported, Jon has fought Kate in court and has taken over full custody of daughter Hannah and son Collin.
Kate claims that all of her children are “well-adjusted” and “intelligent,” and that being on reality television throughout their childhood has “enriched their lives.”
“It has made them world-wise and taught them a lot about people’s intentions I think more so than other kids their age, and they are at the age now at eighteen and almost fifteen where they are able to choose, essentially, you know, a job, if you will, whether it be filming our show or
working at the local fast food restaurant,” Kate said.
Many fans do not agree with Kate Gosselin’s parenting approach, especially when it comes to Collin. Collin Gosselin was sent away from his siblings and lived away from home for more than two years at a special needs behavioral treatment facility.
In 2016 Kate revealed that Collin suffered from “serious anger issues” and “frequently lashed out” posing a potential danger to his siblings while living at home. Kate also revealed that Collin had been admitted to a treatment center for an unknown amount of time. Collin was not permitted according to his treatment plan to leave the facility to interact with his family.
Things took a huge turn for both Hannah and Collin last year when it was decided by the courts that the two could live with dad Jon Gosselin on a full-time basis. What are your thoughts on Kate Gosselin’s new dating show, and the possibility of Mady and Cara Gosselin’s reality spin-off?
