Kate Middleton and Prince William reportedly have a strict rule in their house when it comes to their kids’ tech time, and that is no iPads are allowed. It seems that the Royals are very adamant about not letting their kids be shut inside all day while playing games and watching television via phones and tablets.

Kate Middleton and Prince William say no to too much technology

According to a June 29 report by Express, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would much rather their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and infant son Prince Louis use their imaginations and spend time outside rather than to sit indoors and look at a screen all day.

Sources are now revealing that Prince William and Kate Middleton do not allow their children to have any of the popular gadgets at home, and that the kids know that they are more toys for their parents, and not for them to play with. In addition, Prince George’s school is on board with the train of thought, and is said to nurture outdoor play, sports, art, and other more physical and creative hobbies.

“As two people who grew up without gadgets for entertainment themselves, William and Kate are firm believers in toys, outdoor play and encouraging an active imagination,” insiders reveal.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton are also gearing up for Prince Louis’ christening. The couple will have the ceremony next week in the UK, but the baby’s godparents have yet to be announced.

William and Kate’s new sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, is not in the running to become the baby’s godmother. Instead, the couple will likely choose a very close friend or a trusted employee for the special title.

Kate wants the kids learning and playing outside

“As with George and Charlotte, [William and Kate] chose close and trusted friends and aides, rather than immediate family members, and the odds suggest that will be the same with little Prince Louis,” Jessica Bridge, of British bookmakers Ladbrokes, said in a statement about the Royal Baby via People Magazine.

The report also suggests that Prince William and Prince Harry’s former assistant and nanny, Tiggy Pettifer, as well as William’s private secretary, Miguel Head, are likely candidates to become Prince Louis’ godparents, but that there are many more options as well.

William’s step-sister, Laura Lopez, Kate’s former secretery, Rebecca Priestley, and Princess Diana’s sisters, Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale could also be named godmother to the newest member of the Royal Family.
