Kevin Bacon recreated the legendary Footloose dance

Kevin Bacon still has it. The actor was not only dead on during his dance moments, but was very entertaining, and funny, during his interview. Bacon told Jimmy Fallon that to prepare for his role in “Footloose,” he went back to high school undercover to check out how the kids were acting. Kevin reminded Jimmy that this was “before 21 Jump Street.”

Fans loved Kevin Bacon’s “Footloose” re-enactment, and Jimmy Fallon even got in on the action towards the end by dancing around with the crowd and showing off his impressive dance moves. Fallon continues to re-invent “The Tonight Show” and make it fun, fresh, and full of laughs.

Why fans love Footloose

“Footloose” is one of those teen movies that fans continue to flock to. Although the movie was remade starring Julianne Hough, the original still takes the cake. In the film, Kevin Bacon plays a character named Ren who moves to a small town. He quickly finds out that the town has banned dancing, and is shocked. He and his friends then fight the town and the church to throw a prom.

Finally, they have their way and get to hold the first dance in years. The teenagers rejoice in being able to dance and have fun with their friends, and the adults learn a valuable lesson about themselves as well.

Over the years, he’s found fame in his roles and created a huge fanbase that reaches several generations. “‘Animal House’ was my first movie, so I didn’t have anything to compare it to. I was a sight gag more than anything else. So I can’t say it was one of those things where your life changes. When the movie came out, I had to ask for the night off at the bar,” Bacon previously stated (via Brainy Quote).
