Kevin Durant Complains About His NBA 2K Rating Being 96

With a new NBA season right around the corner, it is that time of year for the NBA 2K rating to come out. This year there is nobody higher than a 97 overall and only one player is a 97. That Player would be Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Giannis had another MVP-caliber season and was coming off an NBA Championship run where he won the Finals MVP as well. For that reason, Giannis is the highest-rated player in the new NBA 2k and some players are not happy with their ratings.

One Player, in particular, made his opinion on his Nba 2K rating very well known as Kevin Durant who is rated a 96 and called his rating “laughable” via Twitter. Durant’s 96 overall rating is the same as the likes of LeBron James, Steph Curry, James Harden, and other superstars. The Brooklyn Nets star just is not happy about his video game self and has to let everyone know about it.

Will the Nets ever go all the way?

Durant joined the Nets with Kyrie Irving a few years back in hopes of winning a championship. That has not happened though. Irving refused to get vaccinated so he could only play a handful of games last season and James Harden saw it all coming and requested a trade to the Philadelphia 76ers and was sent there for Ben Simons who has not played basketball in a year.

This would not be the first time Durant took to Twitter to complain about something that is not important. Many fans saw this complaint and urged Kevin Durant to get his team to the NBA Finals and maybe his rating will go up.

Durant saying that he deserved a 99 overall rating for not making it out of the second round for years is what is laughable. Durant was not snubbed as some fanboys will try to convince you. Nobody got a 99 overall and for a good reason.

Big season for Durant?

Maybe Kevin Durant will take this and use it to have a better year and make a deep playoff push. Or maybe he won’t, only time will tell. It seems like Durant should maybe focus on getting his team to play better basketball rather than what a video game version of himself can do. But maybe it is more important to him than doing well in real life.

Will the Durant-led Nets ever see Finals basketball? Or will they get bounced out in an early round once again? We will just have to see what happens as the NBA season gets closer and closer.
