Kim Kardashian isn’t one to shy away from making big decisions, especially when it comes to her money. The SKIMS creator, who has been named one of the country’s female billionaires, has a massive fortune. In addition to her businesses, acting career, and reality TV money, she also has a lot of wealth wrapped up in her luxury items. This includes her home decor, cars, and of course, her jewelry collection.
According to The Daily Mail, Kim Kardashian recently revealed which one of her four children will receive a major part of her fortune. Kim shares four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, with her ex-husband Kanye West. While it’s very likely that all four of the children will inherit equal shares of their mother’s estate when the time comes, only one will get one of her most valuable pieces of jewelry — the engagement ring given to her by Kanye.
The ring was given to Kardashian when West popped the question to her on October 21, 2013. The diamond is a 15-carat cushion-cut that is world more than $1.3 million. Although Kim and Kanye are no longer married, the ring holds both financial and sentimental value. It seems that Kardashian and West’s oldest daughter, North, is set to inherit it in the future.

The ring was also one of the surviving pieces in Kim’s collection after her scary 2016 Paris robbery. When Kardashian was held at gunpoint in her hotel room during Paris Fashion Week, she escaped any physical harm. However, the terrifying moment cost her $10 million in stolen goods. Thankfully, Kim opted to leave her engagement ring at home during the trip, therefore protecting it from the thieves.
Some fans criticized Kim’s decision to give the ring to North. However, as the oldest daughter it’s not uncommon that she would get the family heirloom. Besides, Kardashian more than likely has plenty of expensive jewels and other assets for the rest of the kids to inherit in the future.
“What about the other children? You DO have more than just North. Picking favorites never works out well,” one person commented.
For now, the ring appears to be safe and sound with Kim Kardashian. However, one day North West may want to wear it as her own if she ever gets married. As for Kim’s other engagement rings, the reality star revealed that the first one was a 14-carat cushion cut given to her by first husband Damon Thomas. However, the second engagement ring has become a controversial topic among the Kardashians.
Kim Kardashian allegedly forked over the money for the majority of the engagement ring that she received from second husband Kris Humphries. The 18-carat emerald cut designed by Lorraine Schwartz wasn’t kept by Kardashian (via OK!). Instead she was forced to hand over the $1.6 million ring to Humphries so that he would agree to divorce her. Of course, Kim says she was sad about not being able to keep the diamond. “I would have loved a collection,” she stated.
