Kobe Bryant is about to become a dad again. The now retired NBA star’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, is expecting the couple’s third child, and since Kobe’s recently retired, he’ll seemingly have a lot of time to be a hands on dad.

According to Us Weekly, Kobe Bryant and wife announced their big baby news on Tuesday when Kobe took to his Instagram account to share a photo of a onesie that read “Baby Mamba,” which refers to Bryant’s nickname “Black Mamba,” on it. Kobe captioned the photo, “Beyond blessed and excited to share that we are expecting our third baby girl!!!”
Kobe and Vanessa Bryant have been married since 2001, but they haven’t always been the happiest of couples. During Bryant’s rape case, tensions were obviously high. Then in 2011, Vanessa filed for divorce after 10 years of marriage. However, they just couldn’t stay away from one another.

In January of 2013 the pair announced that they had called off their divorce. “We are pleased to announce that we have reconciled,” Vanessa shared on Instagram at the time. “We are looking forward to our future together.”
Kobe’s journey continues after his decision to retire at the age of 37. In his final game with the L.A. Lakers, Bryant dropped 60 points and shared the finale of his epic career with Vanessa and their two daughters. Now, a chapter starts for Kobe and his family, and the Bryant’s seem happier than ever.
