Kristin Cavallari’s brother, Michael Cavallari, has been found dead two weeks after he was reported missing. Utah police had been searching for Michael since the day after Thanksgiving when his car, a Honda Civic, was found abandoned.

People Magazine reports that Kristin Cavallari and her brother were close, and that upon learning of her brother’s disappearance the former “Laguna Beach” and “The Hills” star released a statement via Instagram saying, “We remain hopeful … I have such gratitude for all those that have shared their support.”
It was announced on Thursday that Michael Cavallari’s body had been found and Kristin Cavallari again released a statement about the tragic passing of her brother, whose cause of death has not been revealed.
“We want to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers during this very difficult time. We have just been informed by the authorities my brother’s body has been found. This is a very painful time and we are still processing it all. We kindly ask everyone please respect our privacy during our time of grieving.”
Michael Cavallari ‘Always A Troubled Child’
Later, Kristin Cavallari posted an old childhood photo of her and her brother Michael Cavallari captioning the sweet snapshot, “My heart is in a million pieces. Mikey, I could always count on you to make me laugh. You had such a good heart and will be forever missed. I’m at a loss for words but I know u are in a better place and finally at peace. I love u so much RIP.”
Before Michael Cavallari’s disappearance he had been in trouble with the law, and one source reveals that he was “always a troubled kid” that brought a lot of “drama” with him. Another insider claimed that Kristin Cavallari was “very protective” of her brother. “She was always trying to help him. He had been trying to produce reality shows awhile ago, but it didn’t work out.”
