Say goodbye to “Last Man Standing.” The Tim Allen comedy was officially cancelled by ABC this week, and will end its run after six seasons on the air. According to Deadline, ABC decided not to renew the series for a Season 7.
The report suggests that “Last Man Standing” being cancelled seems to come at a terrible time. The show should be doing well considering the state of the country, and the core message behind the show. On the series, Tim Allen stars as a conservative family man, who has a extreme dislike for Hillary Clinton, and a big love of the Republican party, it seems that many Americans, especially those who helped elect current president, Donald Trump, could relate the the show’s main character.
“We have a lot of (dramas) that feature very well-to-do, well-educated people, who are driving very nice cars and living in extremely nice places. There is definitely still room for that… but in recent history we haven’t paid enough attention to some of the true realities of what life is like for everyday Americans in our dramas,” ABC’s entertainment president, Channing Dungey said back in November. His words could be the driving force behind “Last Man Standing’s” cancellation.
TV fans are now on the lookout to see if their favorite television shows will be renewed or cancelled by the networks, as it is the season for big television changes, and everyone seems to be on edge about it.
