In her new book, “Brunette Ambition,” Lea reveals that she did date Matthew, although she’s denied it for years.
Lea Michele says she and Matthew Morrison dated before they began filming “Glee,” as they knew each other before the show got going.

“When we shot the pilot, I met Cory Monteith, Kevin McHale, Amber Riley, and Chris Colfer for the first time,” Michele writes. “I had worked on Broadway with Jenna Ushkowitz and Matthew Morrison before. Matt had been a friend of mine for years, and in fact we’d actually dated back in the day for a Broadway beat.”
Of course, fans know that shortly after meeting Cory Monteith they began dating and carried on a serious relationship before Cory’s untimely death in 2013 from a heroin overdose.
