With the current break in the NBA due to the Covid-19 pandemic players are forced to workout on their own to keep their skills sharp for the long awaited return of professional basketball. One particular player who is holding private workouts with his teammates is Lakers superstar forward LeBron James.

According to Sports Illustrated, LeBron James will not have closer until he finishes this season saying, “I don’t think I’ll be able to have any closure if we do not have an opportunity to finish this season.”

“I will have some satisfaction, like I said, on just being with my brothers, being with my guys, thinking about some of the road trips that we had. Thinking about some of the games that we lost, thinking about some of the games that we won, some of the games that we overcame.

And then everything that we’ve been going through this season, just the ups and downs—not only on the floor, but also off the floor. Everything that we’ve had to endure as the Laker faithful and us as players and the coaching staff and the organization, it’s been so much. So, closure? No. But to be proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish to this point, I’ll be able to look back and be like, ‘OK, we did something special in that small period of time,’” James added.

The following guidelines have been put in place for the opening of NBA practice facilities in states that have started reopening their non-essential businesses, per Yahoo! Sports.

  • No more than four players would be permitted at a facility at any one time.

  • No head or assistant coaches could participate.

  • Group activity remains prohibited, including practices or scrimmages.

  • Players remain prohibited from using non-team facilities such as public health clubs, fitness centers, or gyms.

Both the L.A. Lakers and Clippers are said to have been practicing together during the shelter in place order in Calfornia. They are also both preparing for a championship run out of the Western Conference if the season resumes, and they stand in each other’s way.

Sitting at the one and two spots in the west with the Lakers at 49-14 and the Clippers at 44-20 it is not safe to say it is a two man race in the west but these teams are definitely the front runners.
