Leonardo DiCaprio has finally won an Oscar. The actor accepted the Academy Award for Best Male Performance for his role in the film “The Revenant,” just minutes after his director accepted his Oscar for the same film.

While many Leonardo DiCaprio fans believed he should have won an Oscar for many of his other film roles in movies such as “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape,” “The Wolf Of Wall Street,” “Inception,” and so many more it was “The Revenant” that finally won Leo the Academy Award he’s been so deserving of throughout his career.
The crowd also agreed. All in attendance gave Leonardo DiCaprio a standing ovation as he walked to the stage to accept his award. Leo looked dapper and extremely happy while trying to keep his cool, which has been a trait DiCaprio fans have loved about him for years.

During his Oscar speech Leonardo DiCaprio thanked a great many people who helped him along his journey including his parents, co-stars, directors, and his team. However, he used the end of his speech to speak out on an issue that is obviously near and dear to his heart and that was climate change. Leo urged us all to band together to protect this earth as the issue impacts each and every one on the planet.
