According to People Magazine, Leonardo DiCaprio says he met with George Lucas about taking on the role of Anakin Skywalker in the “Star Wars” prequel trilogy, but didn’t feel he was ready to take on such a commitment.

“I did have a meeting with George Lucas about that, yes,” the 41-year-old said. “[I] just didn’t feel ready to take that dive. At that point.”

Meanwhile, Leonardo DiCaprio reveals that he passed up on some seriously big roles in his time such as playing Robin in “Batman Forever,” a role that later went to Chris O’Donnell, and playing the role of Peter Parker in “Spiderman,” which was filled by Leo’s friend Tobey Maguire.

However, DiCaprio says he hasn’t ruled out playing a big franchise role such as a superhero. “You never know. You never know,” he said. “They’re getting better and better as far as complex characters in these movies. I haven’t yet. But no, I don’t rule out anything.”

Leonardo DiCaprio is currently starring in “The Revenant” with Tom Hardy.
