  • Lisa Marie Presley’s court date has been pushed back to Friday, November 13.
  • The singer has been in an ongoing custody battle with her former husband, Michael Lockwood.
  • The “medical emergency” declaration comes just months after Lisa’s son, Benjamin Keough commited suicide.

Lisa Marie Presley’s custody trial with ex-husband Michael Lockwood has been delayed. The estranged exes were due in a Los Angeles court to continue their ongoing custody battle over the former couple’s 12-year-old twin daughters Harper and Finley.

Reports from the Daily Mail reveal Lisa Marie postponed the court date until Friday, November 13 due to a ‘medical emergency.’ Court documents obtained by the outlet stated that ‘the matter is not called for hearing,’ as ‘counsel for Petitioner represents that Petitioner cannot appear this date due to a medical emergency.’

It has been a difficult year for Lisa Marie and her family. Not only has she been fighting numerous court battles concerning her finances, but she and Lockwood have also been engaged in a long going divorce and custody trial.

Lisa Marie’s son, Benjamin Keough, died in July

Lisa Marie was also hit with a major family tragedy back in July when her son Benjamin Keough tragically lost his life at the age of 27 following a self-inflicted gunshot.

At this time details concerning the type of medical emergency or who in Presley’s family it involves have not been revealed. Presley and Lockwood are expected to resume the custody case this week and a decision is expected to be revealed in the upcoming weeks.

Lockwood claims that Presley’s legal team has engaged in “hyper-aggressive litigation” in the case, calling the situation, “hearings spurred by baseless salacious allegations.” Lockwood also claims that Presley has incorporated techniques she learned during her time with the Church of Scientology called “Fair Gaming” to estrange him from his daughters.

Lisa could be moving back to Graceland to be near her late father and son

In other Presley family news, it’s been rumored that Lisa Marie is making plans to move back to Graceland. According to rumors, Lisa is making plans to move herself and the twins back into her family home following the custody case wrap-up.

It has also been suggested that since Benjamin’s death, Lisa has been feeling a strong desire to be close to both her late father and son, who have both been laid to rest in the Presley family plot at Graceland.

Fans continue to send their well wishes to Lisa Marie and her entire family during this difficult time in her life, and are hoping that she and Michael can resolve their custody issues in a peaceful way for the sake of their children.
