On Thursday, January 12, the only daughter of legendary singer the late Elvis Presley and his ex-wife Priscilla Presley was rushed to the hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Lisa Marie Presley Dead at 54

Lisa Marie Presley’s family is left heartbroken and shocked at the sudden loss of their beloved mother, daughter, and friend. TMZ reported Presley’s housekeeper found Lisa Marie unresponsive in her bedroom and called 911.

Presley’s ex-husband Danny Keough reportedly made every effort to help Lisa. Keough, who has also been living with Presley for some time now, had just returned home and quickly began administering CPR until the EMT arrived at her Calabasas home.

Presley’s mother, Priscilla Presley, issued a statement early on Thursday saying Lisa had been admitted to the West Hills Hospital and Medical Center in LA and was receiving the best care possible. She asks fans worldwide to please pray for Lisa.

Lisa Marie was placed on life support and was stated to be in critical condition. Sadly, all efforts were lost, and Lisa Marie Presley died later Thursday evening from cardiac arrest. The grief-stricken Priscilla Presley was forced to deliver the heartbreaking news.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” her mother, Priscilla Presley, said in a statement, according to LA Times. “She was the most passionate, strong, and loving woman I have ever known.”

Lisa Marie’s death has affected many today. Throughout her life, Lisa has been married four times. Her ex-husbands included Danny Keough, King of Pop, Michael Jackson, Michael Lockwood, and actor Nicolas Cage.

Presley married her third husband, Nicolas Cage, in 2002. The couple’s marriage lasted three months before they decided to end things. Despite their short-lived marriage, Cage states the news of Lisa’s death has devastated him and leaves him heartbroken.

“Lisa had the greatest laugh of anyone I ever met. She lit up every room, and I am heartbroken,” the actor said in a statement, adding, “I find some solace believing she is reunited with her son Benjamin.”

Lisa Marie Presley leaves behind three children, daughters Riley Keough and twins Harper and Finley Lockwood. Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Elvis Presley, and son Benjamin Keough.

Memorial service details are still pending and will be made available to the public at a later date. The family and friends of Lisa Marie Presley have asked for privacy as they mourn the tragic loss of their beloved mother, daughter, wife, and friend.
