Lisa Marie Presley has been cut off financially by her mom Priscilla Presley in her dire money crisis according to NE reports. It appears that after rethinking it Priscilla Presley believes Lisa Marie needs to stand on her own. This could not have come at a worse time for the only daughter of music icon Elvis Presley. Lisa Marie revealed earlier this year that she is broke after she was forced to reveal her financial records in court during the divorce proceedings with Michael Lockwood.
Not only is Lisa Marie Presley battling her ex over the insane amount of monthly spousal support he feels he is entitled to, she is also suing her former business manager. Lisa Marie Presley claims that her money manager squandered her $100 million inheritance left to her by her late father Elvis Presley. However, Priscilla now feels that Lisa Marie is also partially to blame for her financial situation.
Lisa claims she has only a mere $14,000 to her name thanks to manager Barry Seigel’s mishandling. However, Seigel claims he is not at fault and it was Lisa Marie’s uncontrollable spending habits that put her in the poorhouse. Seigel also claims that he had warned Lisa Marie Presley on a number of occasions to slow her spending down. But, Lisa Marie, is very much like her late father Elvis Presley, and feel the need to listen to no one.

Unfortunately for Lisa Marie, it appears her mom has had a change of heart about helping her and has abandoned Lisa in her time of need. As previously reported, Priscilla Presley had reportedly made an attempt to raise funds for her daughter. Priscilla asked all of her friends and former boyfriends to return Elvis Presley memorabilia that she had gifted them over the years. Priscilla had originally planned to sell the items and give the proceeds to Lisa Marie. According to Blasting News reports any and all Presley family news is very popular among Elvis Presley’s dedicated fans.
More than 40-years since Elvis Presley died fans continue to hold a large interest in any and all details pertaining to The King, especially when it comes to death conspiracy stories. Since Elvis is still so popular, Priscilla obviously thought she might be able to make enough from the sale of the memorabilia to help. As to exactly why she changed her mind is unknown at this time.
Now an insider close to the Presley situation claims that Priscilla Presley has given up on trying to help Lisa Marie financially. It is not clear as to if Priscilla’s original plan had back-fired, or if something else has gone down between the mother and daughter to bring on Priscilla’s change of heart.
All that is known according to the insider is that Priscilla refuses to dip into her $50 million bank account to bail Lisa Marie out of trouble. It was also allegedly revealed that Priscilla plans on leaving all of her grandchildren millions when her time comes.
This is something that she reportedly feels she will be unable to do for them if she helps Lisa Marie. Priscilla believes the time has come for tough love for her daughter. The unnamed source also claims that Priscilla Presley feels that Lisa Marie Presley needs to return to rehab. But, Lisa has outright refused and this leaves the 73-year-old Priscilla believing that Lisa Marie could be destined to suffer the same ill-fate that her father Elvis Presley did in 1977.
