Lisa Marie Presley has found a way to take the edge off a few of her problems for the time being by turning to her late father music legend Elvis Presley. Things have not been easy for Lisa Marie Presley, especially for the past two years, divorce, rehab and a lot of financial problems have plagued the only daughter of Elvis.
As previously reported, Lisa Marie Presley revealed earlier this year that she was broke. She claims all of her Elvis Presley inheritance is long gone. This devastating blow for Lisa Marie Presley was made public knowledge during court proceedings for her divorce from Michael Lockwood. Lockwood wants Lisa Marie to pay him $40,000 a month in spousal support as part of their divorce settlement. Lisa claims there is just no way, she does not have that kind of money these days.
It was recently reported that Lisa Marie Presley was cut off financially by her mom Priscilla Presley. That must have been a hard blow for Lisa Marie, who was assured by her mom earlier this year that she would help her out financially by selling off some of her Elvis Presley memorabilia.
Now Lisa Marie Presley has found a way to bring in some cash on her own, without her mother, Priscilla’s help. She is set to release a new duet she has recorded with her Dad according to the NE.
Lisa Marie has added her voice to a gospel track originally recorded by her dad. “Where No One Stands Alone” will be featured on a new gospel album that will contain 14 songs previously recorded by Elvis Presley.
“It was very moving and powerful to sing this song with my father,” stated Lisa Marie Presley.
This is not the first time Lisa Marie Presley has added her voice to one of her dad’s songs. Over the past years, Lisa has also recorded “In the Ghetto” and “Don’t Cry, Daddy” with Elvis’ voice.
While Lisa Marie finds it a comforting way to stay somewhat connected to her father, there is also another motive reportedly behind the recording. That being she will have the chance to make some very much needed quick cash. It is speculated that the new Elvis Presley gospel recordings will go over big with Elvis Presley fans around the world. Fans’ who to this day remain dedicated despite Elvis’ passing more than four decades ago.
Lisa and Elvis’ voices blend together in a wonderful way, and it is believed that if Elvis Presley was alive today that he and his daughter Lisa Marie Presley would be recording together in a very different way.
