The long-time fan-favorite character of the Star Wars universe Ahsoka Tano has recently been stirring up a storm with her voice in The Rise Of Skywalker and her live-action debut in The Mandalorian season two. She was such a hit that Disney has given the character her own spinoff show that will be released sometime in 2022.
But shows and movies are not the only way Ahsoka Tano will be dominating. Rumors have been swirling that the padawan of Anakin Skywalker is getting her own video game as well. So far it is unknown who will be developing this game as it could be a number of companies.
Fans have been speculating that it could possibly be Respawn Entertainment, the creators of popular battle royals game Apex Legends, as they developed the Jedi Fallen Order game which did great and was loved by fans of the franchise.
The only problem fans would have if Respawn developed the game is that it might step on the toes of Jedi Fallen Order 2 as fans have been patiently waiting for any news about the possible sequel to the game.
Is a new game featuring Ahsoka in the works?
According to We Got This Covered, “That’s not to say that an unknown developer isn’t exploring what an Ahsoka game might look like. Due to Disney’s ‘unified canon,’ it’d have to fit in with her existing adventures, so my bet is that this would take place around the original trilogy. We don’t know exactly what she was doing in this period: after Rebels she was in hiding, on a mission to rescue Ezra, and take down Thrawn.”
It would not be a surprise if we got a Jedi Fallen Order-like game where Ahsoka travels around by herself in the time of A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back to achieve her goals as it is unclear what she is doing in that time period. But again nothing is confirmed and for all we know due to the lack of information this could end up being a mobile game instead of a next-generation console title.
However, we can still hope and wish that it is a next gen title as we can all agree as Star Wars fans we love Ahsoka Tano and her character and would be very happy if she got her own game on top of her spinoff show.
