Luke Perry was rushed to the hospital early Wednesday after suffering a massive stroke at his Sherman Oaks, California home according to Inquisitr reports.
At this time conflicting media health updates surrounding the former Beverly Hills 90210 star’s condition have fans growing very concerned about the 52-year-old actor’s well being.
TMZ reported that Luke Perry was said to have been responsive and talking when 911 paramedics arrived on the scene Wednesday morning, however, after close evaluation, Luke’s condition began deteriorating and the actor was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The celebrity news website updates state that they were told by one of Perry’s family members that he was sedated and placed in a medically induced coma for treatment.
A rep for Perry has claimed that Luke is currently under observation, but, has not been placed in a coma at this time. Radar Online reports that the actor recently suffered some ‘bad back problems’ which he “surgically fixed’ before the stroke.
Luke was described by neighbors to appear ‘healthy’ and was often seen out walking his dogs, or, performing one of his regular exercise regimes. Riverdale fans will agree that the actor appeared to be in great shape and that the conflicting, limited health updates are concerning to them.
Fans, friends and, co-stars close to the actor continue to flood social media with prayers and well-wishes for the actor. 90210 co-stars , Shannen Doherty, Ian Zering and Tori Spelling have all posted heart-felt comments showing their love, respect and major concern for their close friend.
“I just heard the frightening news about my dear old friend Luke Perry having a massive stroke. Luke honey I am praying so hard for you right now, I love you so much, and by God’s Grace you will get through this. Please pray for Luke,” the Doherty wrote on Thursday.
Luke Perry is best known for his role on Beverly Hills 90210 as the troubled, bad boy heartthrob Dylan McKay and currently stars on the popular CW hit series Riverdale as Fred Andrews.
