‘Teen Mom’ Alum Mackenzie McKee is asking her family, friends and fans to “please pray” for her mom Angie Douthit who was recently hit with some devastating news regarding her battle with stage four brain and lung cancer according to In Touch.
Mackenzie McKee took to her Instagram page to share the heartbreaking news that her mom’s battle with cancer has once again taken a hard turn for the worst.
“Please pray for my mom and this family,” Mackenzie wrote in her caption, and then shared the message that her mom wrote on her Instagram page.
Angie also shared her prognosis with fans writing,
Sadly, The Teen Mom star’s mom Angie was diagnosed in January of 2018 with stage four brain and lung cancer. The family has rallied together through the hard times keeping a positive outlook and will continue to do so as Angie moves forward with her next plan of action for treatment.
Mackenzie McKee’s is having a hard time dealing with her mom’s illness but is thankful every day that Angie has fought and battled to survive. Stats reveal most people battling stage four brain and lung cancer sadly fail to survive more than 6 months. Angie has lived 16 months past her diagnosis and plans on fighting to continue on with the strength and faith provided by her family and her determination.
As previously reported, Mackenzie McKee faced a tough time on social media in April after sharing a photo of her young son that fans deemed inappropriate, McKee opened up and stated she felt it was no big deal in her opinion, but removed the photo she claimed she thought was just a sweet picture. Mild compared to what Mackenzie and family are facing today.
Mackenzie McKee and Angie Douthit are cut from the same cloth and Mackenzie believes if there is anyone who can beat cancer it will absolutely be her mom. Our thoughts and well wishes remain with Angie during these difficult times.
