“Malcolm In The Middle” is coming back for a four-episode revival on Disney Plus. That’s right, we’re all about to find out what happened to Malcom and all of his brothers after their wild and wacky childhood. Actor Frankie Muniz will reprise the role of Malcolm, while Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek will return as his parents, Hal and Lois. In addition, several other original cast members will also return for the short revival. Sadly, Malcolm’s little brother, Dewey, previously portrayed by actor Erik Per Sullivan, has been recast. Instead, Caleb Ellsworth-Clark will be taking over as Dewey.
In addition to Frankie Muniz, other original characters will also be coming back for the “Malcolm In the Middle” return. Christopher Masterson will be reprising his role as Malcolm’s oldest brother, Francis. The actor comes from a family of TV stars, including his disgraced real-life brother, Danny Masterson. Malcolm’s other brother, Reese, played by Justin Berfield, will also be returning, per Variety.
There will also be some new faces in the show’s evolving universe. Anthony Timpano will star as Malcolm’s youngest brother, Jamie, who was very young during the original series. The character was introduced in the fourth season of the series. Kelly is described as “the youngest child of Lois and Hal, who is self-sufficient, gets good grades and already wiser than most of the family.”

In addition, Vaughan Murrae will play Malcolm’s youngest sibling, Kelly. Fans never got a chance to meet that character, but it was hinted that Hal and Lois were expecting their sixth child during the show’s series finale. Meanwhile, Keeley Karsten will star as Malcolm’s daughter, Leah. As for Leah, she’s reportedly “the daughter of Malcolm and has the same sarcastic humor, same impulsiveness and the same frighteningly high intelligence as him, but she’s far more sensitive and emotional.”
It will be great to see the family back together. However, Erik Per Sullivan’s absence isn’t something that comes as a shock. He’s left acting and hasn’t attended any of the cast’s reunions over the years. However, the new Dewey will have some big shoes to fill.
“Malcolm In The Middle” is a beloved show that offers family fun and nostalgia. The show is preparing to film and will focus on Malcolm and his daughter Leah returning to the family fold for Hal and Lois’ 40th anniversary celebration.
