Mama June continues to show signs of drug abuse and it has her family and friends growing extremely concerned for the “From Not To Hot” reality television star.
Sources close to Mama June reveal that June has allegedly tried and unsuccessfully attempted rehab for issues with drug abuse at least once according to The Ashley. Shannon’s drug addiction struggles were kept pretty quiet up until news broke last March revealing that she had been arrested.
June and boyfriend Geno Doak were arrested on drug and drug paraphernalia possession charges. The arrest appears to have left the reality television star unfazed because her family and friends are growing more and more concerned for her as each day passes.

to fans a first inside look into Mama June‘s drug struggles, revealing that June has been battling drug addiction for several months.
Things were so out of control for June that she attempted to regain her sobriety and attended a rehab facility in Georgia. A source close to the Shannon family reportedly told The Hollywood Reporter that June checked into rehab back in February following the filming of Season 3 of
her show.
“She was in there voluntarily, but she left and was on a drugs binge until she got arrested.”
“I’m so shocked this didn’t get out long before,” one insider told Hollywood Life. “When you’d go to her house, she would be out of it like you’re out [of it] before you get put under before surgery. She was wiped.
“There were needles everywhere in her home,” the source claimed, adding that this is when June’s teenage daughter Alana (aka “Honey Boo Boo”) was sent to live with her older sister Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon.
During Friday night’s reality series episode, Mama June’s family held an intervention in hopes of convincing her to return to rehab, however, June refused. The episode was filmed months ago and since June’s addiction appears to have spiraled even more out of control.
“I’m disgusted there has not been a change in June in all these years,” a second source told Hollywood Life. “She is still blaming others and has a drug problem.”
New reports claim that Mama June Shannon is has taken up residence at an Alabama casino with troubled boyfriend Geno, despite the fact that a judge has ordered they have no contact.
The family of Mama June Shannon feel time is essential and if Mama June continues to deny her serious drug use issue then they fear she will either end up in prison, or worse, facing death at a young age.
