Meghan Markle and the Royal Family may never see eye-to-eye. However, the Duchess of Sussex seemingly isn’t bothered by the rift between her and the royals. Instead, she’s reportedly ready to move past the drama entirely.
Meghan Markle wants nothing to do with the Royal Family
In Royal report Omid Scobie’s new book, “Endgame,” sources tell the author that Meghan Markle is completely over the Royal Family drama. In fact, she allegedly wants nothing to do with the royal way of life.
“Quite early on in the [book-writing] process, some of those Meghan sources that I really leant on in the earlier years this time were like, ‘You know what? She doesn’t want anything to do with it,’” Scobie told People Magazine.
Sadly, things are much different for Meghan’s husband, Prince Harry. “For Harry it’s different. He still has unfinished business when it comes to his battles with the press,” Scobie explained. “His challenge will be to find something that balances that out so we can see him working in a space that isn’t connected to the ties that bind from the past,” he added.
Meghan and Harry are still in contact with King Charles
Omid Scobie went on to reveal that despite the royal rift, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry still have an open line of communication with King Charles. Scobie confirmed that Meghan and Harry had a phone call with Charles in honor of his 75th birthday. However, as previously reported by Hollywood News Daily, the Sussexes weren’t invited to the monarch’s birthday bash in the UK.
Scobie also admitted that Meghan has made sure to send photos of her and Harry’s two children, Archie and Lilibet, to Charles. ” So there is a willingness there,” he stated.
William and Harry’s relationship is in a bad place
Sadly, Harry’s relationship with his brother, Prince William, seems to be fractured nearly beyond repair. Scobie claims that there is “indifference” between them. Especially since William is very focused on his role in the Royal Family. He’s busy learning the ropes as he knows he’ll be sitting on the throne sometime in the near future.
“In the eyes of some within the institution, Harry is a threat to the crown. His freedom to exert his own thinking outside of the confines of the institution has made him the enemy.” Scobie said.
Over the years, it appears that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have grown further and further from the Royal Family. Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton have fully enveloped themselves in their royal duties and are ready to lead when their time comes.
