Michael Phelps: From 2016 Olympics In Rio To ‘Dancing With The Stars?’

Michael Phelps is great at racking up gold medals in the Olympics, swimming, and just being an all around amazing athlete, but can he dance? Rumor has it that “Dancing With The Stars” has asked the Olympian to appear on the next season of the show.

Michael Phelps To Appear On ‘Dancing With The Stars?’

According to Hollywood Life, Michael Phelps is likely focused on nothing but winning even more gold medals at the 2016 Olympics in Rio, but when that’s over in a couple of weeks, will he try his hand at reality TV?

Dancing With The Stars” is reportedly trying to land the swimmer for the new season, which starts this fall. Athletes have usually fared well on the dancing competition, and have won multiple times. Michael could do very well, and even take home another pieces of hardware, the mirror ball trophy.

Phelps Not Into The Idea Of Reality TV

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Phelps is very interested in strapping on his dancing shoes. Sources claim he’s not into the idea of taking a spin on the dance floor, because all about that Olympic life, and doesn’t want to tarnish his legacy with reality television.

“Michael has been asked before [to do DWTS] and he was recently asked [to compete in] the upcoming season, and though he has considered it, he doesn’t want to do it; he wants his legacy to be in the pool and not on the dance floor.”
