With his team’s season on the line on Thursday night, Milwaukee Bucks Superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo had one goal in mind and that was to win at any cost.

Antetokounmpo dropped 30 points with 3 assists and 17 rebounds to be one of the driving forces in the team’s big 104 to 89 win over the Brooklyn Nets. Khris Middleton was also a huge factor in the win scoring 38 points with 5 assists and 10 rebounds as well as Jrue Holiday with 21 points.

Milwaukee came out swinging in Game 6 taking an early lead and maintaining it throughout the game. This was a huge win for the Bucks not only because it kept their season alive but it gave them the momentum going into Game 7 in Brooklyn.

There has been a lot of talk about Giannis’ ill-advised jump shots in this series and the young star scored all his points without shooting a single three-point shot on Thursday.

Giannis Antetokounmpo talks Game 6 win

“That was just how it went,” Antetokounmpo said, According to ESPN. “I didn’t shoot a 3 tonight, but I’m just trying to be aggressive. Get downhill, make the right play, I think there was maybe one or two plays I was open at the 3-point line and maybe could have shot it. But what I know is that I enjoy the game when I’m aggressive, and I can get downhill and I can get my teammates involved,” Giannis added.

That’s exactly what the two-time MVP did in Game 6 and it produced great results for the Milwaukee Bucks. Giannis’ average field goal distance for Game 6 was 506 feet, his lowest in his playoff career. Milwaukee also dominated the Brooklyn Nets in transition, outshooting them 26 to 4 on the fastbreak.

The Bucks also played some great defense as well as smart offense. Milwaukee had 12 steals, 6 blocked shots, and 51 rebounds with 15 of them being offensive. Giannis and company were also excellent at drawing contact in Game 6 with Middleton drawing 3 fouls while shooting threes as well as a 4-point-play. The Bucks ended up drawing 18 fouls and shot plenty of foul shots.

Nets’ head coach Steve Nash said after the game he thought his team did not show near enough energy and looked mentally beat from tipoff. Kevin Durant did still end up putting on a show posting 32 points, 3 assists, and 11 rebounds but he had little help as the next highest scoring Net was James Harden with 16 points.

Game 7 will be in Brooklyn and it will be highly anticipated as the winner will get a ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals and from there play for a chance to represent the Eastern Conference in the 2021 NBA Finals.
