Miranda Lambert and her husband, Brendan McLoughlin encountered a scary moment during a recant vacation when they were involved in a hit-and-run accident.
The country singer revealed via her social media account on Feb. 4 that she and her husband of two-years ended their road trip early. Miranda claimed that that pair returned to their home in Nashville a few days ahead of schedule after they were involved in a car accident in Atlanta, Georgia.
Miranda Lambert details her hit-and-run accident
“Unfortunately on the way home going through Atlanta, an a** hole in a small car with temp plates was driving erratically and tried to squeeze between us and an semi truck going 70 on I-20 W. It hit the airstream on the passenger side and sent us into the left lane. We fishtailed pretty good but got on the shoulder as quickly as possible to assess the damage,” Lambert told her over 4.1 million Instagram followers.
Miranda confirmed that no one was hurt during the encounter, but that the person who caused the accident didn’t bother to stop to take responsibility or make sure there were no injuries.
“Nobody was hurt thank the good Lord, but nobody stopped either and the car sped away. (Cool Bro) We are so thankful that nothing worse happened,” the “Bluebird” singer added.
Miranda added a sweet note about how she called her mother immediately to thank her for praying for the couple and keeping them safe.
“I called mama right away to say that I know her prayers are always heard cause I know she prays for us every morning about 4:30 am. Especially when we are on the road. And @brendanjmcloughlin kept our trailer pretty steady for being side swiped,” Lambert stated.
Miranda and Brendan often document their lives on social media. The fan favorite couple shocked many when they secretly tied the knot back in early 2019. The marriage announcement came just weeks after Lambert was accused of breaking up the marriage of Turnpike Troubadours’ singer, Evan Felker.
Miranda and Brendan have been married for two years
“In honor of Valentine’s Day I wanted to share some news. I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full,” the singer wrote via Instagram back in Feb. 2019.
Before her marriage to McLoughlin, Lambert was wed to fellow country music star Blake Shelton. The couple were married for four years, and announced their split back in July 2015. Shelton is currently engaged to his longtime girlfriend and fellow The Voice coach, Gwen Stefani.
