Monster Season 2 will be about the Menendez Brothers after Dahmer success.

Monster Season 2 Will Focus On The Menendez Brothers

Netflix has finally given us a huge update on Monster Season 2. The first season of the Ryan Murphy show featured Evan Peters diving into the mind and story of infamous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. This time around, the series will tackle another shocking crime with the saga of the Menendez brothers.

What will Monster Season 2 be about?

Netflix made the announcement via social media, sharing the chilling 911 call from Lyle Menedez after he and his brother Erik murdered their parents in their Beverly Hills home in 1989. During Season 1, Peters wowed audiences as Dahmer and fans flocked to the streaming service to watch the spooky and unsettling story unfold. The chilling drama earned praise from fans, but also concern for the family members of Dahmer’s victims.

This time around, the story will be just as chilling, but much, much different. People who have followed the story of the Menendez brothers know that the brothers killed their parents and later confessed to the crime, revealing at their murder trial that they had suffered horrible abuse at the hands of their father while their mother remained complacent.

The Menendez brothers case is one of the most polarizing in history

The case is one of the most controversial in history, with many believing that the brothers’ sentences were too harsh following years of alleged abuse. Erik and Lyle were both sentenced to life in prison without parole, where they remain. However, many people who have done deep dives into the case believe that the brothers deserve a new trial and/or the possibility of parole.

Now that Monster Season 2 has a subject, fans are waiting for casting news, as it will be interesting to see which stars will be chosen to play the Menedez brothers, their parents, and the other key players in their lives. In addition, a premiere date has not been given as of yet. However, Netflix did confirm that the show will return sometime in 2024.
